| I'm a freelance
artist and illustrator living and working in Northern Ireland.
Over the past xx years I have illustrated extensively for
advertising, design and editorial clients in the U.K., Germany,
              Japan and Ireland.
After graduating with a BA(Hons) in Design/illustration from the University of Ulster, I spent several years travelling and working as a scenic artist and muralist
on various large-scale themed construction projects in Germany, Ireland and the
UK. However, I eventually realised that a warm studio was preferrable to being covered from head to toe in paint in sub-zero temperatures, and decided to follow my muse back to painting
and illustrating by returning home to Northern Ireland...
My work has won several awards, including a gold at the Association of Illustrators Images34 'Best of British Illustration' Awards in London, a gold
              at the Society of
Artists’ Agents Illustration Awards in London, and a bronze at the Publicity Association of Northern Ireland (PANI) awards in Belfast.
I also had work shortlisted at the SAA Awards, and at the APA Creative Awards in London's
              Design Museum.

My illustrations for the Financial Times in London have won awards for 'excellence in illustration' at the prestigious European Newspaper Awards in Vienna.
I've also had work selected for inclusion in the prestigious 3x3 annual, New York.

My paintings and illustrations have been exhibited in Japan, London,
Dublin and Belfast, and many have even found homes there.

I used to live by an old windmill on top of a hill overlooking Belfast
Lough on the East coast of Ireland, but keep forgetting to update this biog because my new abode doesn't sound as romantic. That's what becoming a Dad does to you. Back in the day I used to surround myself with scraps
of paper in an attempt to keep warm. Sometimes I scribbled on them.

Of course, it's mostly all digital now...
